In early part of 2009 genocide of Tamils in Sri Lanka reached
its peak, killing almost 40000 Tamils at Mullivaikal. Although the
international community knew this genocide they did not take any
step to prevent it. Further with all the evidence available to prove
this genocide the international community has not taken necessary
actions yet. At present the remaining Tamils in north and east of
Sri Lanka are under the Sri Lankan army control and there is an
ethnic cleansing taking place. In order to stop this genocide and to
submit the following requests, a protest walk is organized on 24th
of July commencing from London, UK through France to Geneva.
This protest walk is undertaken by Mr.G.Sivanthan (Gobi). At the
conclusion of this protest journey a petition with four major points
will be submitted to the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland.
The four points are:

1. The genocide against Tamil people in Sri Lanka and the
mass murder should be investigated by an international
committee.

2. The experts committee appointed by the united nations
to investigate war crimes in Sri Lanka should function
independently and the perpetrators of war crimes should be
brought in front of the international community and punish
for their crimes (This will prevent further genocidal activities
against Tamils by the Sri Lankan forces).

3. All the Tamils including the people behind barbed wire fence
in camps should be able to live at their own places without
military control as free citizens.

4. A list of Tamils who were arrested, surrendered and
disappeared in Sri Lanka should be published immediately
and their whereabouts notified.

The British Tamil Forum (BTF), Swiss Counsil of Eelamtamils (SCET) and Revolutionary Students Of Tamileelam (RSTE) requests your support to
Mr.G.Sivanthan who is carrying the above petition. It
also requests your support for this protest walk by him.
